Diane Ivey

Lady Dye Yarns LLC is an eco-friendly indie-dye yarn business owned and run by Diane Ivey. Having started the business in 2010 she began by selling yarn at small craft fairs and has developed the brand into a well known online presence, also regularly attending large fibre events across the USA including Vogue Knitting Live and Stitches West.

As an indie dyer Diane has a signature style that is instantly recognisable creating vibrant and colourful hand-painted yarns, accessories, and knitwear designs inspired by street art and city living. And, in an industry that historically has been lacking in diversity she is a formidable voice speaking up on issues ranging from BIPOC representation and women's rights to size inclusivity and in 2019 she became a member of Soho Publishing's Diversity Advisory Council; set up to address the lack of diversity and inclusion in the fibre arts industry. She is renowned for bringing fresh thinking to the way in which individuals and companies do business and, with her limited edition craft club collaborations has worked with both BIPOC and non BIPOC across a number of craft disciplines.
