Marcia Hamilton

Marcia Hamilton is a visual arts tutor and teaching assistant who along with Mec Ursell owns Yarnarama, a micro, indie yarn shop located in the heart of historic Royal Greenwich, London, UK.

Having previously hosted a weekly Knit & Natter session with a small selection of yarns the two women saw a need for a dedicated space where crafters could buy quality wools, yarns and fibres.

Already passionate about fibre, yarn and making by hand they found space in an existing indie shop and in February 2017, Yarnarama was born. The shop sells some commercial and designer brand names but also promotes the work of indie dyers, weavers and spinners and, in addition to knit, crochet, felting, spinning and weaving their crafting skills are growing all the time.
